Piles, John

John Piles was a master builder elected to the Friendship Carpenters' Company in 1773; he became a member of The Carpenters' Company in 1786 when the two companies joined. A resident of Dock Ward by the time of the 1774 tax (and for the rest of his life), he took one William Arnell, Jr., as an apprentice in 1773.
