Rilling, Chapter 4, page 27 House carpenter and Carpenters' Company member Robert Jordan agreed in the spring of 1795 to work for Samuel Wetherill "at one price and a quarter with a fifth deduction" (the 20 percent was a trade discount for Wetherill, a former house carpenter.) Although Amos Yarnall and Jacon Cousler agreed to work for Wetherill on the same terms, Jordan reprimanded the partners for having "bitched it . . .because you have taken it at a price & a quarter, which with the deduction will render it to you at the old price." ---------------------- Managing Committee Minutes-1791-5-23 Joseph Rakestraw proposed Robert Jordan.
