Jonathan Roberts was a master builder elected to The Carpenters' Company in 1798. He was subscriber to Owen Biddle, The Young Carpenter's Assistant; or, a system of architecture, adapted to the style of building in the United States (Philadelphia, 1805), one of the earliest American works on architecture. Roberts died in 1832.
