Joseph Hutchinson was a Philadelphian master builder and was elected to the Carpenters' Company in 1824. Hutchinson was the son of an earlier member, John Hutchinson He served a term as Secretary and Warden of the Company as well as multiple terms on the Book Prices Committee and the Managing Committee. He first lived on South 7th street and then on South 9th street. He died in 1882.
