Description

John Chamberlin was a master builder who was elected to the Carpenters' Company of Philadelphia in 1826. Richard Chamberlin, probably John's father, was an earlier member of the Company. John lived at 40 Kunckle street. He died in 1868.

I only lived in NJ for the first 4 years of my life (1944-1948). I visited in 1968 and went to Carpenter's Hall, but was not aware of how to approach archives.
